Meet Dr. Poornima Gopalakrishnan, DDS

Dr. Poornima Gopalakrishnan earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee, and holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in Chennai, India. She also completed a Master of Science in Health and Safety Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, broadening her expertise in patient and workplace safety.

Dr. Gopalakrishnan has extensive clinical experience in general and pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. She provides comprehensive, patient-centered care, emphasizing prevention, education, and individualized treatment planning. Her background also includes research, teaching, and community outreach, including participation in numerous dental health camps serving underserved populations.
