Meet Dr. Marjan Askari, D.M.D.

Dr. Marjan Askari was born in Tehran, Iran and immigrated to the United States when she was 21 years old. She received her D.M.D. degree from Tufts University where she graduated summa cum laude. While at Tufts she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. She went on for advanced training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Maryland, and became board certified and recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Currently she is an assistant clinical professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association, and American Association for the Advancement of Science, as well as Robert R. Andrews Research Honor Society.

She is the author of a textbook, “Atlas of Orthodontic Case Reviews”, published in 2017, as well as multiple articles in prestigious dental journals. She is also in the process of publishing an autobiography, “Sound of Silence”. In her free times she enjoys reading, exercising, practicing yoga, music and art.
